Apart from the usual orthodontic procedures, which employ brackets (bands, arches) and which are intended for general corrective work and for use with younger people, NEW orthodontic corrections can be achieved by using practically invisible plastic splints, known as Invisalign. 

With the Invisalign removable-braces technique, you can have the smile you always wanted, without traditional metal braces - and eat and drink what you like, too.

 

Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of transparent, quasi-invisible and removable gutters that you change every two weeks. Each gutter is individually manufactured and to measure for your teeth. Your teeth move little by little, week after week, when you pass to the following gutter, it until they are rectified and reach the final position prescribed by your orthodontist.

 

The procedure is planned by computer.  The intended result is first analyzed together with the patient and modified according to his/her wishes.  The individually created splints are changed every 14 days by the patient.  The dentist needs to carry out a check approximately every two months.  The treatment lasts between 12 and 18 months and is therefore shorter than conventional procedures using brackets.

 

The splints can be removed.  This means that you can eat without restrictions during the treatment and can maintain high standards of oral hygiene.  The Invisalign technique is virtually pain-free, protects your teeth and is very well accepted.  Persons between the ages of 15 and 85 can be treated using this technique.

 

Invisalign removable braces can also help a variety of orthodontic concerns, and dental care studies have shown that these braces can be better for your dental hygiene during treatment as well.

 

Yet another advantage: you can also use your Invisalign splints to bleach your teeth.
